01. FORMER SYSTEM
I trained and worked as a software engineer — the career with the straight line drawn through it, the one that keeps shipping the next release whether or not anyone asked for it. I was good at it. I left it anyway.
02. WHY THE SHIFT
Every new build promised a faster, smarter, more connected version of being human, and every one of them left people staring at a screen instead of at each other. I got tired of writing the thing that does the disconnecting. A camera doesn't push a notification — it just keeps whatever was actually in front of it.
